(FIRST ART/DIGITAL PAINTING OF 2017 WOOO) I know this is a very different picture coming from me but please accept it ;u; // This is my first time properly attempting realistic digital art and I know I messed up in some areas lolll. I was sorta playing around with the tools and colours since I don't properly know how to paint realistically so here's the result ;u;

AHHH WHAT IT'S SO DETAILED AND COOL *^*
You've gotten really skilled, senpai!
So I'm assuming this means that you fixed your problem with the tablet and your hurting wrist from a while back?
anyways, how are you?

Yeah, I had quite a bit of art homework over the break; I had a lot of celebrations to attend during the first week, but I mostly watched anime during the second week of break, haha :"D
Yep, exams... I've got Art, Religion, Math and Science, though I feel like I really only need to study hard for science. Religion's pretty easy for me, and math just comes to me naturally. Art; tbh I don't really see what I need to study for art, since we didn't really do that much art history; either that, or I wasn't paying attention... ^^;
hey, when we have time, maybe we could do an art trade?

I see, I also had a lot of celebrations to attend haha ;p I've sort of lost interest(?) in anime... nor do I find time anymore to watch :(
You'll do fine in your exams! You're a smart girl :) just don't stress about it too much. Good luck!
and I probably will stop doing art trades for a while, sorry ^^; I already have 2 other ones I need to finish, and I sorta want to do more experimenting during my free time.

Ah, I see... All I ever really wanna do nowadays is just sit down and binge watch anime XD
Aww, thanks! I'm sure you'll do fine too. Good luck to you too!
Luckily for me, we didn't do a lot of art history this year, so there isn't much memorizing in terms of art pieces and such. Hopefully I can post my art Culminating Performance Task piece that I did... We were making prints using softoleum blocks; we printed our first colour, then traced our art design/piece (that was inspired by Canadian Indigenous artists), then we would start carving whatever we wanted to keep as our first colour; in my case, yellow. Then we would print our second colour (red for me), and then carve out anything we wanted to remain red. Finally, we would print our final colour (black for me), and we would finish. Overall, that whole carving-printing thing took about a week, maybe a little more. Though we would get marks taken off if it smudged or if there were smudge marks on the page. But I was so angry today, because I printed my last colour on one of my pieces (we made four in total, but she's marking our best one), and the print was so perfect. Then I accidentally dropped it on the ink! And it got ink marks all over the piece! So I'm definitely not handing that one in.

Anyways, I've been getting back into writing lately, so drawing seems to be on a pause right now :P It's kind of hard for me to balance a lot of my hobbies, because I draw, I write, I play the violin, and I love reading. Unfortunately, I don't get much time to do everything; then there's the factor of anime ;P

ahh, that's okay; I understand :) Just let me know when you're free ^^
Ohh yeah, and are you going to visit WP anytime soon?

I remember when I was in that phase! :XD:
Wow that's really cool, I'd want to try that :') I'd love to see it~
man I really loved last year's regional arts course, they made a lot of changes this year (some that I absolutely don't appreciate) like having us do more history and presentations than actual art + we don't get many trips anymore! :(

That's great! It's not bad to take a break from art sometimes <:'D
and I'm not sure, I'll try and make time to come visit, especially because Ms. Macd----- is retiring I heard :<
